Until September 2008: I am on leave as a postdoctoral researcher in the Mathematical Institute at the University of Oxford.

My contact information at Oxford is available here. Note the best way to reach me is via the email address above.

Info:     I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oxford, in Oxford, England.

I am also an assistant professor of mathematics at Brigham Young University. I will begin teaching at BYU in September of 2008.

     My CV (pdf) (October 2007)

Research:     My interests are three-dimensional manifolds, hyperbolic geometry, and knot theory.
  • For mathematicians: Links to my papers and preprints.

  • Non-mathematicians: What is a three-dimensional manifold? One explanation is here.
I also explained mathematical manifolds to high school students and their parents in fall of 2006. You can find a description of the talk, as well as slides on the Saturday Morning Math Group website.
Teaching:
On leave from September 2007 to 2008.
