Title: Chromatic polynomials and their variants

Abstract: The chromatic polynomial of a graph is a polynomial whose evaluations at positive integers count the number of proper colorings of the graph. In this talk, I will discuss several aspects of such polynomials and their invariants, including the location of their roots and extremal questions about them.
